The Age of Citadels has begun.
It's been more than six decades since the last great war, but the world is still struggling to recover.
After the total collapse of government, most of the survivors banded together in tribes and over
the years reverted to a feudel society. The lack of an economy has given rise to a form of barter
and scavenged trade. There is no money. Gold holds no value.
Rather than becoming serfs of the Citadel Lords, several small tribes have formed into mercenary
groups that make a living by hiring themselves out to protect the smaller citadels. Fighting off
pirates and other Citadels. The most ruthless of these groups is led by an unseen leader
known only as Roth.

It is believed that Roth is respnsible for several raids against scavenge caravans and supply
shipments from one of the largest Citadels. Although there is no evidence yet, it is commonly
felt that Roth may have a personal agenda.
