The world has fallen into chaos.
It's been more than six decades since the last great war, but the world is still struggling
to recover. Nuclear and satelite warfare have left the every major city on the planet
decimated. Toxic and/or radioactive clouds of dust leave some areas of the cities
devoid of life. Impassable except by those that have developed or recovered protection
left over from the Great War.
After the total collapse of government, most of the survivors banded together in tribes
and over the years reverted to a feudel society. The lack of an economy has given
rise to a form of barter and scavenged trade. There is no money. Gold holds no
value. The most commonly traded commodity is labor. Those with skills can sell their
services to the highest bidder. While those without any advanced skill or knowledge
are forced into serfdom to survive.
|
The most precious commodity is technology. Without the ability to manufacture refined materials and
complex tools, tribes utilized groups of serfs led by overseers for scavenging missions into the ruins
of the old cities.
Within the last 2 decades, discoveries of large caches of weapons and equipment hidden by the
old governments and forgoten with their destruction have given rise to a new threat.
The Age of Citadels has begun.
Check out a sneak preview of the first Citadels project, ROTH.
